TGDCo. was founded on the belief that design is not art, but a fundamental utility for communication and persuasion. While it may not be sweet and fluffy, it's the strong foundation necessary for building something meaningful.
We combine our client's passion and talent with our ability to distill their mission, personality and vision into functional and creative solutions.
As an award-winning graphic design studio, we have proven that clients who value this approach are rewarded with effective communication tools and measurable outcomes.

When Soung graduated with a BA in Graphic Design from Penn State in 1994, she set her sights on taking over the world. However an addiction to pool halls and having a life brought distraction. Now instead of ruling the land from a castle in the sky, she lives in a house in DC with her husband and three dogs. She couldn't be happier.
Her interest in photography has made Soung our default photographer, shooting for many of our clients' projects. Fortunately, she doesn't force her interests in pottery, gardening and matchmaking on us.
Soung serves as an adjunct graphic design professor at American University, teaching classes in packaging design and typography.
She is continuously reminded of how lucky she is to know what she wants to do, and to be doing it.

A Mississippi native, Scott has spent his professional life coming to terms with the fact that he is in a field where you wash your hands before, rather than after doing your work. He has honed his skills over 12 years, focusing on crafting clear, simple solutions that stress function over fashion.
Scott studied painting and drawing at the University of Mississippi and is willing to try anything at least once. His skills position him perfectly as one of our very own in-house illustrators.
He has served as Education Co-Chair for ADCMW and moonlights as a graphic design instructor at Boston University’s Center for Digital Imaging Arts.
Scott spends his non-working time with his wife, four kids and one dog. He cherishes every extra second he has with them.

An graduated from George Mason in 2011 and started at TGDCo. as our beloved intern the summer after. She out-sketched the best of the best to land the internship and with determination, hard work and gifts from the farmer's market she was hired on full time.
An's enthusiasm and eagerness to learn has made her a valuable asset to the team. She brings her own ideas and a welcome perspective to new projects, proving that she is more than just a junior designer.
Thankfully, she also has taken it upon herself to nurse our neglected plants back to health. When An is not at TGDCo. she works weekends at two farmer's markets, is a bookkeeper at two dentist offices, crochets little animals and makes mini terrariums.
Being a designer has fulfilled one of An's dreams, next is building a greenhouse and adopting a pet cow to take on long walks.

Carrie came to TGDCo. after graduating from Penn State in 2011. Being the third PSU alumni amongst a team of 5, she continues to prove that the rigorous design program churns out some of the industry's best talent.
Her youthful and enthusiastic attitude contributes to both new and ongoing projects alike. Carrie is able to bring new perspectives while respecting established systems, a very valuable asset to the design team dynamic
Carrie embodies her 'spirit animal' well with her serious business, multitasking hands and fun, colorful aura. Her signature red lipstick, shiny bangles, and a love for dress up makes us all want to step up our game when putting on our daily uniform.
When she's not kerning the day away, Carrie can be found exploring the DC area, hitting up the bars and telling her friends back home that she's hanging out with the president.
